Author's meeting with Beata Zdziarska. Senior Festival — “Senior with passion — a week of meetings in the library”

We cordially invite you to an author's meeting with Gdańsk writer Beata Zdziarska, combined with the promotion of her latest books. The meeting will take place on Thursday 22 October at 17:00 in the Babie Lato Library.

Beata Zdziarska is an author of manners novels. She was born and lives in Gdańsk, but she really likes the mountains she goes to every summer. He also loves forests and Kashubian lakes. Her novels are lands full of interesting characters, emotional stories and often difficult life situations.

Her literary adventure began in 2016, when she made her debut with the novel “The Lost Trail”, then in 2018 she published “Whispers of Conscience”, called the history of Gdańsk. On the other hand, the emotionally powerful novel is “On the Other Side of Paradise” (2021) — the story of the marriage of Eve and Matthew, who were strongly challenged by fate and turned their lives upside down. This is a story about the transience of life, difficult situations and choices, about human relationships. “The Valley of Secrets” (2022) is the author's fourth character novel, this time with a criminal plot. The writer invites you to wander through the charming Beskid Low, where together with the main character Hania you will visit beautiful churches and meet extraordinary people. In this quiet corner of Poland, a gruesome crime took place.

Beata Zdziarska's latest novel is the two-volume historical saga “Gdańsk tale”, published in 2026, which consists of the titles: “Boy from the ruins” (volume 1) and “Boy from the reborn city” (volume 2). The “Gdańsk Story” saga is a moving historical novel telling about war trauma, loss and the search for a new identity in the realities of the ruined Gdansk in the decline and after the end of World War II. The plot focuses on the extraordinary relationship of a little German boy and a Polish woman, who are united by a common fate in a sea of ruins.
