We invite you to an author's meeting with Dariusz Gizak focused on the series with Jacek Kowalik.
About the series: Jacek Kowalik has everything a private detective should have: the training of a commando, the workshop of the work of an operations officer and iron discipline. He also has a strong inclination to save the world and enough bravery to close any matter. After leaving the police, he was left with a deep grudge, which, in combination with a specific approach to compliance with the law, gives undoubtedly high efficiency.
About the author: Dariusz Gizak — former police officer, graduate of the Police College in Szczytno. Author of the book By (i) ł in ZOMO published in 1998, which is the only authentic record showing the functioning of ZOMO from the inside. Since 1998 he has been a journalist, a regular contributor publishing articles in such monthly magazines as “Detektyw”, “Brach Łowiecka”, “Drwal”, “Forest of Poland”. He worked as a consultant when writing the script and during the production of Krzysztof Krauze's film “The Debt”. Laureate of Literary Competitions. Privately the father of two grown sons, a lover of everything related to nature and the forest. Involved in journalism related to nature conservation, e.g. the conflict around Bircza and the creation of the Carpathian Forest National Park, problems related to wolves or — together with Prof. Simona Kossak — in defense of the Białowieża lynx against aggressive scientific research.
The meeting will be hosted by Gabriela Koralewska.
FREE ADMISSION — the condition of participation in the event is to have an active card to the Municipal Library in Łódź (flashcards). Please prepare a card before entering the room.
