Author's meeting with Emilia Kiereś

We invite all Good Books devotees for tea and an intimate meeting with Emilia Kiereś on Saturdays. The meeting will promote the author's latest book “Dusia. Soul”, but there will certainly not be a shortage of stories about other titles.

About the book, from the author:

“After the August storm, a strange girl appears in the area of Niewietrzyce: Dusia. The soul.

It is difficult to say why Dusia seems a creature a little out of this land, but one thing is certain: her unexpected visit will become a breath of freshness in the life of the townspeople and allow each of them to face their own concerns.

Dusia can talk and listen, but above all — she has a cottage at her disposal, which, contrary to appearances, is not at all an ordinary abandoned ruderess.

Eight-year-old Eliza, her parents and two older brothers, an aunt-grandmother, an old postman and a tramp — these are, apart from Dusia, the main characters of this ordinary and unusual story, in which everyone finds a way to solve their problems, but also, more importantly, to know and understand themselves and others.

Dusia. Soul is a warm, reflective — though not devoid of dramatic twists — a story about people and feelings, as well as how important it is to bravely face the adversities that are an inherent part of each one's life.

A great read for readers eight or ten years and up — and for the whole family!”
