We cordially invite you to a meeting with Dr. Joanna Ławicka — esteemed special educator, president of the Prodeste Foundation, author of publications on the autism spectrum and neurodiversity.

About the event

We cordially invite you to a meeting with Dr. Joanna Ławicka — esteemed special educator, president of the Prodeste Foundation, author of publications on the autism spectrum and neurodiversity.

The meeting will be an opportunity to talk about the latest book “Honeycomb”, as well as to look together at the experiences of people on the autism spectrum, their daily challenges, needs and ways to build relationships based on empathy, respect and mutual understanding.

Dr. Joanna Ławicka has been taking up important topics related to the functioning of neurodiverse people for years, emphasizing the importance of subjectivity, acceptance and adaptation of the environment to diverse human needs. Her approach to empathic pedagogy encourages us to look beyond stereotypes and established patterns, and above all — to listen carefully and understand the other person.

During the meeting, we will talk about how to create a space where diversity is not an obstacle, but a natural part of the human experience. We will also consider what role family, school, professionals and society as a whole play in building a supportive environment.

The event is aimed at people on the autism spectrum and other neurodiverse people, parents, teachers, educators, psychologists, therapists and all those who are close to the topics of empathy, education and social acceptance. It will be a space to gain knowledge, exchange experiences and ask questions, as well as to meet the author. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase books by Dr. Joanna Ławicka and obtain an autograph.

We invite you to talk together about neurodiversity, relationships and a world where everyone can be themselves.

Admission is free.

Accessibility: A place friendly for people with mobility disabilities. Autism friendly event.
