About the event

The world we knew is changing rapidly. The climate crisis has ceased to be a distant allegory, but has become everyday and affects our security.

However, Marek Styczyński, an experienced forester specializing in mountain ecology, argues that we still have time to turn “hope for change” into real “creating change”. This book is an invitation to the group of New Settlers - people who abandon theoretical considerations in favor of practical solutions. The key in this process is our imperceptible allies: small trees. They are not just plants of a certain height, but living communities that can regenerate the landscape and build new biodiversity.

In this book you will learn: •How to choose species. From old varieties of apple and pear trees, to medicinal lilacs and medlars, to exotic dates and prickly pears that will soon become established in our climate. •How to create feeder trees. Learn how to design a garden that not only nourishes, but heals the landscape and regenerates your ecosystem. •Where to look for support. Learn the strategies of the pioneers of permaculture and learn to listen to Nature's patterns to cooperate with, not fight. • How to build “Living Capital”. Learn to care for soil, seeds, and community by creating systems that will feed generations. Whether your training ground is a windowsill, an urban balcony, or acres of land - this book will give you the tools to act. As Bill Mollison once said, “Do it now. Become part of a natural succession and build a world that survives.
