How did it happen that the eight-bit Atari, which in the West lost the competition to the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, in Poland became one of the symbols of the digital revolution and played an important role in the birth of the domestic video game industry?
Paweł Grabarczyk, author of the book “At the End of the Rainbow: The Identity Crisis of the Atari 8-Bit Computer”, published by the prestigious MIT Press, will talk about this. During the meeting at the Center for Comics and Interactive Narration, we will look at the history of Atari, the beginnings of Polish computer culture and how technology affects our perception of computers, games and digital entertainment.
