Elio B Cunampio (Panama) was a traditional painter and photographer from the Embera tribe. Experiencing discrimination based on origin, he viewed his indigenous heritage as something negative for years. Over time, with the support of others, he rediscovered his roots and became involved in preserving Embera culture through photography and film. Its mission is to change the perception of indigenous identity as a negative trait and to show the beauty and value of this heritage. It also highlights the importance of traditional body painting and the connection of the Embera culture with the forest, the protection of which is inherently linked to the preservation of their culture.
