Meeting “Let's get to know each other closer. Discover SPLOT from the creative side”

On 8 November at 10:00-13:00 we invite you to a free handicraft workshop at SPLOT at Market Square 24 in Wodzisław Śląski. Meeting “Let's get to know each other closer. Discover WEAVE from the creative side” will be an opportunity to learn the secrets of macrame and make a keychain with your own hands. And that macrame is based on connecting strings, fits perfectly with the idea of WEAVE - a place that connects people and ideas. We want this meeting to be another opportunity to act together and spend time in a creative atmosphere.

The workshop will be led by Małgorzata Tomas, an educator and instructor of occupational therapy, for whom handicrafts are not only a passion, but also a way to develop creativity and see the beauty in objects created with their own hands. Macrame is especially close to her — the art of creating decorations using twine and matching weaves. Małgorzata likes to share her knowledge, inspire others and show that everyone can create something beautiful, regardless of previous experience.

As she herself emphasizes, creation is more than working with material. It is a moment of respite, an opportunity to express yourself and discover your own possibilities. Sometimes all it takes is a string, a little imagination and a desire to act to awaken creative energy in yourself. This is exactly the atmosphere we want to create in SPLOTA — without pressure, but with space to experiment, learn new techniques and enjoy the work done by one's own hands.

The November meeting is also a good opportunity to visit SPLOT on the occasion of other events on the Wodzisław market square. On November 8, the Wodzisław Staroci Fair takes place there, where you can look for unique items with history and unique finds. It is also worth taking a look at the exhibition “Lampki Tata” by Tomasz Wyrozębski, presenting unique vintage and retro lamps, which were given a second life. The exhibition can be seen until the end of November in SPLOTA.

In SPLOTA you can also buy city promotional gadgets - perfect as a souvenir from Wodzisław Śląski or as a small gift for a loved one.

We invite you to SPLOTU - a place that brings people and ideas together.
