Memorial meeting and curatorial tour of the exhibition “Jerzy Fedorowicz and Ludmiła Popiel. Out of the picture.”

The Museum in Koszalin invites you to a memorial meeting and a curatorial tour of the exhibition “Jerzy Fedorowicz and Ludmiła Popiel. Beyond the painting”. October 15 at 17:00 — admission to the free event.

Jerzy Fedorowicz and Ludmiła Popiel were artists with incredibly broad cognitive horizons, they were engaged in painting, conceptual reflection, art theory, design work for the benefit of Central Pomerania, the organization of various forms of activity of the local art community in the post-war period — with the famous outdoors in Osieki at the head, shape based on the program assumptions of the most important editions of 1963-1981. Although known to researchers of contemporary art, in the wider consciousness of the inhabitants of Koszalin they are considered enigmatic figures.

In order to “recover” them for our city and to highlight their many years of effort in shaping its cultural landscape, the Museum in Koszalin organized an exhibition presenting the achievements of Fedorovich and Popiel from many perspectives. One of the many accompanying events will be a memorial meeting, the purpose of which is to provide the audience with a unique insight into the behind-the-scenes life of the protagonists of the exhibition and tell about them from the perspective of family, friends and acquaintances.

The event will take place as part of a project implemented by the Museum in Koszalin and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
