Meeting with experts “Practically about the Safety Guide”

The Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk invites you to an event organized as part of the project “Resilient to the crisis”. The meeting “Practically about the Safety Guide” will be devoted to disseminating knowledge about the principles contained in the Safety Guide and building awareness and preparedness of the public for crisis situations.

The project “Resilient to the Crisis”, implemented by the Museum since last year, focuses on strengthening social resilience. Within its framework, we organize trainings, seminars and workshops aimed at museologists and educators, students, as well as the general public. We also gather the experience of our Ukrainian partners on the protection of cultural heritage and the role of cultural institutions during crises and armed conflicts.

During the event on October 16, we will look at Polish experiences related to the development and popularization of the Safety Guide in a broader, international context. The reference point will be the example of Sweden (Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency), which for years has been developing activities to prepare citizens for crisis situations and is known for its distinctive “yellow safety guide”.

The discussion will be attended by: - experts of the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency - including Christina Andersson - Kpr. Łukasz Lewandowski from 16 DZmech, experienced educator and popularizer of security issues in a crisis situation - Agnieszka Kordalewska — Founder and President of the Management Board of the Gotowi.org Foundation — consultant of the Polish Safety Guide, popularizer of the topic of emergency backpacks

On October 15, 2026, we will invite school students to the SAFETY AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE conducted by Cpr. Łukasz Lewandowski.
