Meeting with Elżbieta Cherezinska

A story that pulsates with life. We invite you to meet Elżbieta Cherezińska — a master of Polish historical novel and one of the most popular Polish authors.

21.10, 18.00 Main Library, 7 Szafranka Street

Her books combine epic momentum with attention to historical detail, turning familiar characters from the chronicles into heroes of blood and blood — loving, fighting, taking risks and embroiled in big politics. The author of such books and cycles as “Harda”, “Queen”, “Game of Dice”, “Legion”, “Tournament of Shadows”, “Sidonia. The Word Said”, as well as the monumental cycles “The Restored Kingdom” and “The Northern Way”, takes readers from medieval Poland and Scandinavia to the turbulent history of the 20th century. We will talk about history that recovers emotions, about strong women, power and memory, and why the past still says so much about ourselves. The work of Elżbieta Cherezinskaya is also a deep reflection on history and herstory, supported by a rich imagination and a deep understanding of human nature and an analysis of historical processes.
