Meeting with Fr Arkadiusz Nowak SMA

On the occasion of Library Night and Christian Culture Days 2026, the Municipal Public Library in Siedlce invites you to a unique meeting with Fr Arkadiusz Nowak SMA — missionary, pastor and author of books who has worked in Africa for many years.

Fr Arkadiusz Nowak has been associated with Africa since the beginning of his missionary journey. He worked in the Central African Republic and then in Tanzania, where he served among the Maasai for many years. He was one of the first permanent missionaries of the mission in Malambo, which included about 20 hard-to-reach villages. He was also involved in the education of Maasai children and youth, including through the projects “Maasai Elementary” and “Shakespeare to the Square”.

He is the author of the books “Spells by God” and “Choked Youth”, in which he talks about Africa, encounters with other people, faith, culture and missionary experience.

During the meeting you will be able to hear about the daily life of the missionary, the life of the Maasai, cultural differences, missionary work, education and what Africa can teach people. It will also be an opportunity to talk about Fr Nowak's books and his personal experiences.

We invite you to a meeting full of stories about Africa, people, faith and experience that changes the way we look at the world.

During the event there will be an opportunity to purchase our guest's books.

The meeting will take place on October 16, 2026 at 18.00 in the MBP Main Reading Room (entrance from Esperanto Street).
