Meeting with Martyna Wojtkowska and listening to the first two episodes of the historical reportage “Room 600. Witnesses of Nuremberg”
The Museum of Independence Traditions in Lodz invites you to a meeting with the author of the audio-series Martyna Wojtkowska and a joint listening to the first two episodes of “Sala 600".
Radogoszcz Martyrology Department, 147 Zgierska Street in Łódź
The event is co-organized by the Museum of Independence Traditions in Łódź and the Pilecki Institute.
“Room 600th Nuremberg Witnesses” is a six-part historical report dedicated to the Nuremberg Trials. The audio series shows Nuremberg from the perspective of people who have found themselves in the shadows of great events — witnesses, translators, stenotypists, journalists and observers.
This is a story not only about the process itself, but also about memory, responsibility and the experience of meeting a crime. In the first episode we meet Tadeusz Cyprian, a member of the Polish delegation to the Nuremberg trial. The second episode is dedicated to Seweryn Szmaglewska — a writer and survivor of Auschwitz, who appeared in Nuremberg as a witness.
After listening, we invite you to meet and talk with Martyna Wojtkowska, author of the audio-series.
Martyna M. Wojtkowska (born 1990) — documentary filmmaker, author of written and radio reports, the book “In New Zealand the sun rises”, the audio-series “In New Zealand the day begins. A Tale of the Children of Pahiatua” and the “Free Paths” podcast.
She is nominated for the Teresa Torańska Newsweek Award and the Polish Radio “Melchiory” Reporter Award. Winner of the Young Poland scholarship awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the field of literature.
