MEETING WITH A COMIC
Conducting:
Dorota Zaglewska
About the comic:
“Woman and Her Butterflies” is this year's comic debut by Ola Bylica,
winner of the Grand Prix of the 35th International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź
competition for album design. Despite this, the author shows great maturity
both in graphic style: unobtrusive, European, full of soft colors and
of elaborate compositions inspired by the structures explored by Maria
flowers and insects, as well as in the story itself—told both from the
historical view as well as carefully presented realities
social and moral values in which the heroine came to live. The one based on facts
biography in an inspiring way cites the fate of numerous talented women,
who were born in unfavorable times — and allows you to appreciate them
contribution to the development of culture, science and finally the impact on changing norms
social. [publisher's description]
Ola Bylica's book will be available for purchase after
meeting.
