Stanisław Wyspiański (1868-1907) — painter, playwright, but also cartoonist.
In the exhibition, many works attract with colors, the green seems to go beyond the frame
paintings. Meanwhile, the cards from Wyspiański herbarium are a focus on detail,
concretions. At first they attract nothing but the magic of the familiar
surnames. In the meantime, it is really worth staying with them for longer.
Sketched plants are species with a specific structure, only peculiar to themselves.
Wyspiański explored them in order to later enrich the works he created with
The rich natural world. Wyspiański's decorativeness is not just a matter
fantasy, but also a thorough knowledge of morphology. Let's talk about it at
work “Card from the Herbarium: White Urticaria, Miss” from 1896.
