MEETING WITH ART
hosted by: Magdalena

Can nature talk about life? During the meeting at the painting of Henryka Beyer (1782‒1855) we will take a look
the work of one of the first professional painters in Poland, who
Floral compositions have become her artistic specialty. Her paintings
delight with precision, careful observation of nature and mastery of the workshop, and
at the same time they hide the story of a woman who has gained recognition in the world
art dominated by men. The painting “Flowers in a vase” will become a highlight
a way to reflect on the meaning of classical still life, on human
the need to surround oneself with beauty, to stop the transience of flowers and to create
with the help of the art of their own stories about the plant world. We will consider how
culture shapes our vision and understanding of nature and what images of flowers
They talk about our relationship with the natural world.
