On February 3, 1936, in Davos, Switzerland, a Croatian Jew, David Frankfurter, killed Nazi official Wilhelm Gustloff in an act of political protest.

About the event

The show is recommended for viewers over 16 years of age.

The story, which began with five shots in Davos, is played back years later.

On February 3, 1936, in Davos, Switzerland, a Croatian Jew, David Frankfurter, killed Nazi official Wilhelm Gustloff in an act of political protest.

On January 30, 1945, from Gotenhafen/Gdynia, a ship named after Gustloff set off on the last, tragic voyage.

On April 20, 1997, in Schwerin, Germany, two teenagers, Konrad P. and Wolfgang S., carried out a tragic reconstruction of the Davos event.

The parents of both boys meet in the courtroom and try to understand what happened between their sons. They all lost something. Everyone faces the past.

The latest performance by Marcin Wierzchowski, known to the Gdańsk audience thanks to the award-winning “Beautiful Zośka”, is a poignant story about the inheritance of memory, trauma and wines. About how strongly the lives of our ancestors influence our choices and identity.

Dialogues based on acting improvisations inspired by the novel “Walking with Cancer” by Günter Grass. There is intense light in the performance.
