Conversation about gang crime in Scandinavia and viewing Ruben Östlund's' Play '

About the event

Without the use of either physical violence or threats, but with manipulative rhetoric and role-playing games, a small group of young boys with immigrant backgrounds managed in more than 40 cases to rob peers in Gothenburg. Based on these real-life incidents, Ruben Östlund has created a fascinating film which depicts in detail one of the robberies and elegantly balances on the edge between documentary and fiction. 'Play' touches on explosive aspects of human behavior in modern society, and it aroused great debate in its native Sweden.
