Środa Literacka with Kamil K. Pilichiewicz - author of a collection of conversations around Leśniczówka Prane

There are places that over time cease to be just a point on the map. They become a story. Such a place is Leśniczówka Prane — located on Lake Nidzki, among the Masurian forests, forever associated with Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński.

It is about the phenomenon of this unusual place that we will talk during the next Literary Wednesday in Książnica Podlaska.

On 14 October at 18:00 our guest will be Dr. Kamil K. Pilichiewicz, employee of the Philological and Bibliographic Research Department of the Podlasie Library, literary scholar, essayist and literary critic, author of the book “Around Prania-Leśniczówka Gałczyński. Conversations”.

The publication is an attempt to capture the unusualness of the place, which from a former forest house has become one of the most important literary havens in Poland. It consists of 26 interviews with poets, actors, musicians, literary researchers, historians, museologists and cultural animators. Their memories, experiences and anecdotes show that Laundry is more than a museum — it is a living space of literature, memory and encounter.
The meeting will be led by Dr. Łukasz Zabielski.
It will be an evening about Gałczyński, Prana, poetry and the power of a place that has attracted literary people for decades. About why among the Masurian pines you can still find something that defies simple definitions — atmosphere, memory and that special “Orpheus string” that can still move.
