Stacey Kent is an outstanding American jazz singer, artist of the legendary Blue Note label and winner of prestigious awards, including Grammy nominations. Although she was born in the USA, she began her career in the UK, where she became involved professionally and privately with saxophonist Jim Tomlinson. Already her debut album “Close Your Eyes” (1997) brought her the recognition of critics, who raved about the purity of her voice, masterful phrasing and subtle, refined aesthetics. Kent gained international fame for her unique style, combining the classics of the Great American Songbook with the sounds of Brazilian and French chanson. The groundbreaking album “Breakfast On the Morning Tram” (2007), released by Blue Note, sold more than 300,000 copies and was a huge success in France, where Stacey Kent was honored with the National Order of Arts and Literature (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres).

The album is set to feature an eclectic collection of songs, including new arrangements of jazz standards and three original tracks. In Katowice, he will present this material in the Quintet, which will enrich the sound of the latest project. We recommend and invite you!
