We invite you to the next meeting of the REanimation series, dedicated to setting and respecting boundaries in the work of a cultural animator. It is an opportunity to talk, exchange experiences and jointly search for solutions to problems that educators and cultural animators face in their daily work.
Setting boundaries in the work of a cultural animator is one of the foundations of protection against burnout in a profession that often requires availability, flexibility and constant adaptation to the needs of others. During the meeting we will talk about clearly defining the time frame, the rules of communication and the scope of obligations both towards the participants of cultural activities and supervisors. Respecting these boundaries does not mean lack of commitment, but allows for responsible, safe and long-term cultural activities.
Do you sometimes feel that the mission associated with working in culture is beginning to consume your private life? Increasingly, do you feel like an “orchestra man” who is expected to be ready to act in any situation? Join us for a meeting to discuss how to set boundaries for your time and energy so that working for the community is rewarding, rather than leading to burnout.
The meeting will take place on 24 October in the PIK Multimedia Hall at 10:00am at 8 Jana Kilińskiego Street in Białystok.
It will take the form of a facilitated meeting, based on participants' experiences, exercises and conversation, complemented by short substantive introductions. We will connect the topic of setting boundaries with awareness of one's own needs, recognizing signals of overload, and ways to communicate boundaries with respect for oneself and others.
Admission is free, the number of places is unlimited. Online registrations apply:
