Divine divas, honorable gentlemen, unscrupulous crooks and bizarre figures shine in a new light through his music. The audience seems to be drawn into the film by Bothmer's newly composed film music. Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy, known in this country as Dick and Stupid, have revolutionized slapstick with their unique slowness. At the end of the twenties, they were at the height of their art, pioneers in the world of humor, always looking for new forms of expression. Time and again, they get into breakneck situations and sow chaos and destruction. Automobiles and houses, the symbols of the American Dream, are transformed into piles of scrap metal in their presence. They are only afraid of their own courage — and feminine charm.
