Celebrating 40 Years of Iconic Sound: Strangelove — The Depeche Mode Experience Announce European Tour for 'Black Celebration' Album

Hollywood, Calif. — As the music world celebrates the 40th anniversary of Depeche Mode's groundbreaking album Black Celebration, one arena-scale tribute production is set to bring the revolutionary sounds of the '80s back to life. Strangelove — The Depeche Mode Experience, known throughout North America for their authentic interpretations of iconic Depeche Mode music, their visual aesthetics and energetic intensity, are excited to announce their 2026 Spring European Tour, which will cover major cities and pay homage to the album that defined an entire era.

Depeche Mode Black Celebration, released forty years ago, in 1986, is acclaimed for its dark, innovative sound and huge impact on the electronic and alternative music scene. The album's rich, atmospheric and industrial sounds, combined with introspective lyrics, shaped the spirit of the 1980s and continue to inspire generations of listeners.

Strangelove's tour will include a carefully curated set list paying homage to Black Celebration, including fan-favorite tracks such as “Stripped”, “A Question of Time” and the eponymous “Black Celebration”, as well as b-sides from the era. In addition to this album segment, the band will also perform a second set consisting of the other biggest Depeche Mode hits from the band's entire 45-year history.

Each concert will offer a visual and sound experience designed to transport the audience back to the 80s, with elaborate stage design, costumes faithful to the era and high-quality sound production.

Strangelove — The Depeche Mode Experience is hosted by young double Leo Luganskiy, whose vocals and stage presence are praised for capturing the essence of legendary Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan. The team's commitment to authenticity provides a nostalgic yet fresh experience for fans new and old. Recognized as one of the most successful full-length tribute productions in the US since 2010, the group is undertaking a full-length tour of the European Union for the first time in history.

“We are extremely excited to celebrate this milestone and celebrate this milestone with fans across Europe,” says singer/guitarist and founder Brent Meyer. “Depeche Mode's Black Celebration holds a special place in the hearts of many, and we are honored to pay tribute to this groundbreaking album with a tour that truly reflects its impact.”

Tickets for the tour will be available from January 2026 through the official website of the team and the largest ticket sales platforms. Fans are advised to purchase in advance so as not to miss this one-of-a-kind celebration.
