Do you sometimes have the feeling that stress literally “goes into your stomach”? Is your stomach tight before the exam, your head hurts after a hard day, you can't sleep, or you suddenly have no appetite? It's not a coincidence.
Stress can occur at school, before an exam, in relationships, when scrolling through social media, but also when you are intensely thinking about the future, worrying or facing an important decision. And although we sometimes feel that stress is “just in the head,” our body often shows that something important is happening — before we even notice it.
During the workshop we will examine what the brain, emotions and... intestines have in common
You will learn, among others:
why stress can cause abdominal pain, headache or muscle tension,
what is the brain-gut axis and why the gut is sometimes called the “second brain”
como o microbiome pode ser associado com o meio
what stress does to sleep, concentration, immunity, appetite and mood,
why chronic stress can greatly affect our body and relationships,
how to recognize your own warning signals before stress takes over.
In the practical part, we will test simple ways to regulate the nervous system and cognitive techniques to help cope with stress.
This is a workshop, not a lecture. There will be space for conversation, questions and exercises.
When? 29.10.2026, 17.30
