Plac Powstańców Wielkopolskich 10, Zielona Góra

The evening will be devoted to one of the most moving genres of vocal and instrumental music — Requiem. The highlight of the concert will be the premiere of a new work by Magdalena Cynk, created as part of the program “Composer's Orders” implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance. This project supports the creation of new works by Polish composers, enriching the contemporary repertoire of artistic music. The composer draws on the timeless text of the Latin Mourning Mass to create a work that undertakes reflection on the passing, memory and hope. The traditional form of Requiem becomes a space for contemporary artistic expression, combining emotional depth with modern musical language. The resulting Requiem is a special work also because its history began earlier. The composer has already created a part of the cycle — Lacrimosa, the premiere of which was also held at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic.
