We will take you to the most exclusive and extravagant club in NYC!
Studio 54 was the most popular club in the 70s and 80s. There was to be a lot of lights, colorful decorations, space for guests, and the central point of the Studio should be the parquet. All furniture except the bar and console were movable. The idea was to be able to change the decor of the club from party to party. The sound and light effects were controlled by a computer - this was the first such solution in a nightclub in the USA. On opening night in the limo, Frank Sinatra waited to get in, but eventually he couldn't make his way through the crowd and didn't go inside. Jack Nicholson didn't make it to the studio either. The lucky ones who entered, and there were more than a thousand of them, admired the modern and original decor of the new club. They danced to the disco rhythm, which was played from vinyl records by DJ Richie Kaczor - the promoter of the hit I Will Survive. That night, Grace Jones, Margaux Hemingway and Salvador Dali could be seen on the dance floor. A day later, a photo of Cher appeared on the front page of the New York Post, and although Studio 54 was not mentioned by name, it was the first time a photograph from a disco had appeared on the cover of a well-read newspaper. For more than two decades, the biggest stars of world show business played there every night. Among them Muhammad Ali, Bettie Davis, Hugh Hefner and Elton John. Fashion designer Halston threw a birthday party at Studio 54 for Bianca Jagger, who drove into the club on horseback. Then a famous photo was created in which a naked man introduces a white horse inside, which Bianca rides. He was upscale, sophisticated and extravagant. Everyone has dreamed of being able to enter this legendary place on West 54th Street in New York.
