Well and pendulum | Splat! FilmFest

A young man comes to a gloomy castle to discover the truth about his sister's death. However, it soon becomes clear that her husband is hiding a terrible secret, and his innocence is debatable. “The Well and the Pendulum” is one of the most important films in the work of Roger Corman, the master of low-budget cinema, who permanently changed the face of horror. Freely inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's prose, the painting combines gothic horror, psychological tension and black humor to create a tale as macabre as it is perverse. The main role is played by Vincent Price, whose magnetic creation has become one of the iconic incarnations of on-screen madness.
