SUNRAKER

NIGHTMARIES/Indie/Rock, Indie/Alternative, Post-Punk, Rock

Are you ready to meet your new favorite rock band at the Flea on October 8th? Moving between dreamy shoegaze and moshpit-worthy postpunk, Copenhagen band SUNRAKER are ready to send The Flea round-trip between 80s and 90s rock highlights and the genre's future in a single night.

SUNRAKER is Copenhagen alt-rock with a cinematic flair and post-punk pulse. The band balances between the noisy dream layers of shoegaze and the physical energy of a sweaty mosh pit — a sonic universe where melancholy turns into momentum. SUNRAKER was formed in 2022 and additionally consists of Louie Sears (guitar), Mikkel Skibbye (drums) and Lasse Mortensen (bass).

On stage, they deliver an intense and atmospheric show in which fragility and noise merge into a unified force.

At the forefront is lead singer and composer Sophus Alf, who is known for his award-winning soundtrack to the computer game Deep Rock Galactic. In SUNRAKER he translates his background in classical music and film music into grand, emotional rock compositions with an international outlook. Inspired by names like The Cure, Mew, Jeff Buckley and Deftones, SUNRAKER creates songs that both hit the body and leave clues in the head.

After a number of years of strong singles and a critically acclaimed live EP and debut EP, which came out in spring 2026, SUNRAKER has played a number of concerts in Copenhagen, most recently at Uhød Festival, where Bands Of Tomorrow predicted that the group could become “Danes' new favourite rock band” - and with the band's amazing ability to take the best rock music from the 80s and 90s, dust it off and breathe new life into it, we have no doubt that they could be right.

SUNRAKER is not retro. Experience the next wave at the Flea on October 8th.

NIGHTMARIES

With a mix of saws, guitars and voices, Nightmaries brings together dark country, no-wave and nightmarish cowboy doom in a soundtrack that feels like a fever dream you've somehow never woken up from. As the world gets weirder and bleaker, Nightmaries leans into the frenzy, serving up slowburners that crawl under your skin like a slow-acting poison. Put on the cowboy boot, dip your smokey eyes in the ashtray and prepare for once-flabby doom with punk energy.
