Black Curtain

Swedish trio in indie rock euphoria at Ideal Bar

Following the band's critically acclaimed album Aponia from 2025, Svart Ridå is now releasing the single “Gränen till doom” on 9 October.

Here, the band sounds more hard-hitting than ever before, though without losing what has become their hallmark: explosive, immediate choruses that drill into the listener instantly.

About the single, the band says:

“We wrote 'Gränden till doom' out of frustration with how our world looks today. The privileged man is so good at worrying about himself and his own little problems, but forgets that there are actually people who have barely anything at all, no security to lean on.”

Since their debut in 2022, Svart Ridå has released two studio albums and in a short time established itself as one of the most interesting and genre-defining bands in the new wave of Swedish indie rock. Along the way, the trio have also secured three GAFFA awards.

When the story of the Swedish trio is one day to be written, 2026 will stand as the year when Svart Ridå played itself out in earnest to an ever-larger audience. Hundreds of kilometres on country roads with concert after concert, culminating in a performance at Way Out West in Gothenburg.

In 2027, the story continues with a concert in the Ideal Bar on February 7. It will be uncompromising, explosive and enchanting.
