We will look into the life of the mountains, show the work of people who take care of the Tatras on a daily basis, and check how our daily decisions during the hike affect the Tatra nature — and what we can do to make this impact as small as possible.
The series, directed by Bartosz Blaschke, shows different aspects of human influence on Tatra nature — from leaving waste and feeding wild animals to noise and artificial light. The episodes will be published online, and each of them will be accompanied by a premiere cinema screening in another city in Poland.
Several million people visit the Tatras every year. At such a scale, even small, repetitive behaviors matter to nature. Some of their consequences can be seen immediately, others remain almost imperceptible to visitors.
Each of the eight episodes of the series will have its theatrical premiere in another city in Poland and will then be made available online. All episodes will be available with translation into Polish Sign Language (PJM) and audio description. Translation to PJM will also be provided during cinema premieres.
