The lecture will be devoted to the works of Polish sculptors, including Bolesław Biegas, Konstanty Laszczka, Wacław Szymanowski, whose works are included in the collections of the MNP. We will discover the turbulent fate of the Poznań collection, look behind the scenes of museum warehouses and find out how the exposition of the sculpture has changed. During the meeting, we will look at both details imperceptible at first glance, and learn about the dramatic fate of the creators of these works.

____________
The World of Paintings is a series of lectures with a long tradition, aimed at presenting works from the Museum's collection. Addressed primarily to adult viewers, it is also open to young people. Lectures are always held in the gallery space, and the main character of each meeting is usually one object. By discussing selected works, each year viewers will get to know a different part of the collections of the National Museum in Poznań.
In 2026, we will move beyond the framework of images into the third dimension. The subject of our interest will be selected sculptures from the collection of the National Museum in Poznań. Thanks to the chronological review of our galleries, participants will not only be able to get to know the museum collections better, but above all to trace the aesthetic transformations that have taken place over the centuries. This will be the first, long-awaited, lecture series fully devoted to the subject of sculpture.
