The meeting with the sculptor, the author of video installations and spatial objects, will introduce the artist's works, which are in the MNP collection. Zuzanna Janin's work focuses on the issues of transience and memory, identity and intimate experience of the past. In the collections of the Gallery of Contemporary Art there are both films and objects of the artist, which arouse great interest of the public due to their transparent matter and the penetration of images through it. During the meeting, the video series MAJKA from FILM donated to the museum will be presented, which is based on found footage from Majka Skowron's cult production of Madness in the 1970s in Poland, in which the artist played the title character.

____________
The World of Paintings is a series of lectures with a long tradition, aimed at presenting works from the Museum's collection. Addressed primarily to adult viewers, it is also open to young people. Lectures are always held in the gallery space, and the main character of each meeting is usually one object. By discussing selected works, each year viewers will get to know a different part of the collections of the National Museum in Poznań.
In 2026, we will move beyond the framework of images into the third dimension. The subject of our interest will be selected sculptures from the collection of the National Museum in Poznań. Thanks to the chronological review of our galleries, participants will not only be able to get to know the museum collections better, but above all to trace the aesthetic transformations that have taken place over the centuries. This will be the first, long-awaited, lecture series fully devoted to the subject of sculpture.
