On November 11, the Museum of the City of Gdynia will donate 108 oak saplings to residents — one for each year since Poland regained its independence.
The next installment of the “Growing Independence” campaign will combine the memory of history with concern for the future. Planting a tree and caring for it make it possible to leave a lasting mark of this year's holiday, which falls on the centenary year of granting the city rights of Gdynia.
Oaks, associated with strength and longevity, over time can become a living souvenir of the anniversary and part of the environment of subsequent generations.
The museum also invites you to spend a festive day in its interiors. During the November walk, you will be able to look at the exhibitions, warm up and relax. A museum shop will also be open.
On this day, admission to the museum will be free.
