About the event

We invite you to another concert in this year's edition of the Swing Club series in Mazovia of the Mazovian Institute of Culture. The Mazovian Museum in Płock has been a permanent partner of the project since 2000.

At the end of October, The Swinging Band will perform in the museum hall.

The team took its name in 2025. In the current lineup, he had already performed a year earlier, but under the name The Dixie Swing. It is made up of experienced musicians with a lot of experience.

The name of the band defines stylistically the music performed by the artists. The musicians reach for the best patterns and compositions that best convey the swing atmosphere. In its repertoire, the band includes works by composers such as: George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Harry Warren, Cole Porter and other luminaries and masters of this genre of jazz.

In their programs there is also a Polish accent - compositions and old pre-war schlagers, such as works by the forerunner of Polish jazz - Henryk Wars. The band performs swing in a contemporary way, but maintaining the atmosphere of style. Thanks to this, despite the passage of time, the music performed by The Swinging Band is received by fans of this genre with unwavering interest.

Admission is free. The number of places is limited.

Performers: The Swinging Band Bożena Zalewska - vocals Marek Rudnicki - tenor saxophone Robert Barczyński - leader, guitar Wojciech Puszek - piano Wojciech Zalewski - bass guitar Stanisław Pietrzyk - drums
