This is not a story of dying, but of life. About buffoonery, selfishness, jealousy, cruelty and pride. But also about dreams, art and about love. Our show is not a laudatory for the Fourth Witch.
The last night of Wyspiański's life. Or maybe the last moment? The place of action is his cephalothorax. The space — the stage and the audience of the Slovak Theatre. The same where he first staged his Wedding and Liberation, of which he wanted to become director. But it didn't work out, because “they” chose “that bloated Solsky.” There will be a lot of “them” too. About “those” who criticized, refused, took, did not pay, envied and even at the end quarreled over the cost of his funeral. All the characters that appear on the stage have their prototype in the past or present. Unlike events that certainly did not happen.
At this last moment of life, when imagination replaces reality, Wyspiański is followed by his mother, who had died many years earlier. And he leads him, like Virgil, through the space between life and death, where, as on stage, everything is possible.
