This ballet evening presents ballet neoclassicism in its purest form. Last season it featured works by outstanding choreographers of three different generations: George Balanchine, Toer van Schayk and Edward Clug, derived directly from the music of Beethoven, Chopin and Bizet. Each delighted in its own way and aroused the enthusiasm of the audience. That is why we repeat this triptych also this season — for encore. However, we changed its content a bit, conquering the emotional tone of the whole show even more.

The evening will start this time with Symphony in C with music by Bizet, one of Balanchine's most famous symphonic choreographies. It not only impresses with the dynamism and richness of the dance language, but is also an excellent opportunity to show off the entire ballet ensemble with its leading soloists. After this spectacular symphony of dance by the father of neoclassical ballet, we will invite the audience to calm their mood, which is clearly prompted by the very title of Edward Clug's ballet Ssss with the music of Chopin's Nocturnes. It is a completely different emotional climate, full of nostalgia and reflection. It encourages a more focused experience, but also a constant exploration of complex and ambiguous emotional landscapes derived from Chopin's music. And at the end of this ballet evening we propose this time Ravel's Bolero choreographed by Krzysztof Pastor and it doesn't require any special instructions. It is known — the explosion of passion and the apotheosis of a rhythm that captivates, captivates... hypnotizes.
