Mary, a young woman, accidentally discovers the Mermaid drawn on the wall of her small apartment in Warsaw. It turns out that it was drawn by Pablo Picasso during his visit in 1948! Behind the wall lives Radomski, an elderly man who remembers Picasso's visit. The discovery of the Mermaid does not please him at all.
