Seven Minutes Past Midnight/Cinematekets Filmklub 11-15 years

13-year-old Conor struggles with his mother's serious illness and one night encounters an enormous, living tree monster, who tells him three stories. The monster challenges Conor to confront his deepest fears, sorrows and resentments while his real life becomes increasingly chaotic. The story balances between dreamlike sequences and realistic moments with family and school, where Conor must learn to accept pain and loss. The film combines dark fantasy with intense depth of emotion, and each confrontation with the monster reveals a new layer of the character's inner conflict.

We think a film club should be about more than 'just' fun and movies. It should be memorable and evolving. It's in the film club you can meet the world, other ways of seeing and doing things.
