Mr. Perrault's Wardrobe

Mr. Perrault's wardrobe brings you closer to the world of Charles Perrault's most famous fairy tales — tales that have entertained and taught the little ones for generations. Their characters, such as Cat in Boots, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood or Sleeping Beauty, take viewers on a humorous and adventurous journey through the world of imagination.

The show was created with children of preschool and early school age in mind. Poetry dialogues, songs and live music create a dynamic spectacle in which the audience is actively involved — children discover new elements of the fairytale world together with the actors. Thanks to this, the meeting with the theater becomes for them a natural experience and joint fun.

The creators deliberately avoid the literal, giving free rein to children's imagination. The eponymous wardrobe is not only an element of decoration, but a place where familiar stories are arranged into a new theatrical whole. This form encourages children to discover meanings on their own and create their own associations.

Live music is an important part of the show. Accompanying the actors, the musician plays a rich set of percussion instruments — these include a vibraphone, bells, gong and snare. The varied sounds enrich the story and introduce the little ones to the world of sounds in a way close to their sensitivity.

Perrault's fairy tales, still relevant, do not give simple answers to difficult questions. They talk about courage, responsibility, the consequences of choices and relationships with others, but the authors of the play do not moralize or impose ready-made interpretations. Thanks to this, they encourage children to ask questions and discover for themselves the meanings hidden in fairy tales.

Mr. Perrault's wardrobe is a proposal for families and preschool and school groups. The performance combines artistic values with a respectful attitude towards the child. It develops the imagination, familiarizes with the language of the theater and shows that contact with art can be an inspiring experience and a good time at the same time.
