Good goals and ideas. The story of Adam Petryn — an artist from the West

“Great goals and ideas. The story of Adam Petryn — an artist from the West”
It's official — the contract is signed and we are starting to prepare for a unique project!
We are very pleased to announce that the project of our Museum entitled “Noble Goals and Ideas. The story of Adam Petryn — an artist from the West” received funding from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage within the framework of the Folk and Traditional Culture 2026 program.
The project involves the organization of the largest exhibition to date, dedicated to the life and work of Adam Petryna (1881-1942) — an outstanding sculptor, social worker and propagator of folk culture of the Łowica-Skierniewice region.
—
However, this is not the end of the good news. We are proud to announce that the project has already been awarded the first Honorary Patronages:
🔹 Mrs. Joanna Skrzydlewska — Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship
🔹 Mr Marek Sałek — Head of Lipce Reymontowskie Commune
This is an extremely important distinction for us and an expression of confidence for the project, which aims to restore the memory of one of the most intriguing artists associated with our region and popularize the local cultural heritage.
—
We have months of intensive work ahead of us — inquiries, preparation of the exhibition, obtaining works from museums and private collections, developing a catalogue, recording a film and organizing accompanying events.
We invite you to follow our channels today! We will constantly show behind the scenes of the preparations, reveal more information about the project and gradually reveal the story of Adam Petryna — an artist whose work and social activity deserve to be rediscovered.
This is just the beginning.
See you at the opening of the exhibition! 🎨✨
