On the trail of passion: “Ultra runs”

Ultra runs are the quintessence of all great experiences.

Ultra runs in alpine scenery, are the quintessence of experiences squared up. In one ultra run, a whole universe of experiences and sensations converges. In an instant you can be at the top, in this real world and in your own head, and in a moment you can quilt down. Down the mountain valley and down the emotional one, filled with doubts and doubts.

In the mountains, in the middle of an ultra run, a person will not hide anything. He must face himself and accept all his weaknesses, doubts, fears.

In addition to all of the above emotions, ultra runs involve a whole bunch of preparations, the development of strategies and logistics activities. Training, preparation and selection of equipment, analysis of the route, help points and many other important elements are the components of success, which is the finish line.

Reaching the finish line by a rider in an ultra run is a joint action of the whole team, which must be ready for unexpected challenges and violent twists.

Beautiful, stunning views during the run, is the added value of any previously undertaken activities and activities.

Radosław Defeciński - one of the leading Polish ultra-runners in the mountains, currently the director of the Municipal Sports and Leisure Centre in Tuszyn.

An ultra runner by passion, a lover of all physical activity with an admixture of adrenaline.

For many years he has been trying successfully in ultra mountain marathons, long-distance orienteering runs, mountain bike marathons, Adventure Racing competitions. He practices mountain climbing, mountain canoeing, canyoning.

Distance challenges are regularly taken on, which for most runners are difficult to imagine. He competed and successfully reached the finish line in such running projects as:

TORX (Tor des Géants) competing in legendary races in the Aosta Valley in Italy, including the TOR330 and the giant TOR450 (Tor des Glaciers),

- SwissSpeaks 360 and the monumental SwissSpeaks 660 in the Swiss Alps

- UTLAC250 on the Italian Lake Como and Ronda del Cims beautiful and extremely difficult course around Andorra,

- PTL (Petite Trotte à Léon) an iconic extreme team run as part of the UTMB festival in Chamonix, France.

For his sporting achievements and promotion of the region, he was awarded, among others, with the Award of the Mayor of the City and Commune of Tuszyn.
