Yasmina Reza is one of the most famous contemporary French playwrights. She gained fame thanks to Art. Written in 1994, translated into more than thirty languages, it has been exhibited all over the world, among others, in Paris, London, Buenos Aires, Tel Aviv. She won the Molier Award for Best Author, as well as the Evening Standard Award and the Laurence Olivier Award. Reza's play is a comedy and, as real comedies have in their glorious habit, it prompts a serious, at times very unwitting, reverie. By mocking human weaknesses, he does not mock them maliciously, although they ask for it themselves, but seeks their source. Finding them, he is moved. The story of the friendship of the three protagonists of the piece, put to the test, with all its comicality, is the story of a modern man. And this one, like everyone, has his worries, anxieties, problems. Sometimes dramatic. Reza's clever humor is the answer to them. It comforts, gives strength. However, it does not leave behind an aura of absolute bliss. Art's wit is perverse. Not necessarily funny in the end. The performance was created as part of the ProScenium Acting Initiatives Scene.

Premiere as part of the Voivodship Jaracz Wędrówek in MDK Radomsko on May 7, 2023.

The license for the performance of the work was issued by the Association of Authors ZAiKS.
