Art without barriers — a tour of the exhibition “boor” by Cezary Klimaszewski [PL + PJM]

What happens to an image when we take it out of its original context? Is he still telling the same story, or is he starting to mean something completely different?

During the meeting from the Art Without Barriers series, we will look at the exhibition “boor”, focusing on the technique of found footage — working with existing film materials, which acquire new meanings through selection, juxtaposition and editing. We will watch and analyze selected fragments of the film, look for meanings, associations and what remains outside the frame, talk about memory, sleep and the influence of images on our imagination, create our own story from the “found” images.

You don't have to be familiar with art or film. All you need is curiosity and your own gaze. Because sometimes it only takes one found frame to start the whole story.

The “Art without Barriers” series includes events open to all, with a special focus on the needs of people with disabilities. Each meeting is translated into Polish Sign Language (PJM).

architectural accessibility: Galeria Labirynt at 5 Popiełuszki Street is located in a one-storey building. At the Gallery there is a parking space for people with disabilities. It is also possible to drive up to the entrance by car. There is gravel between the parking lot and the sidewalk, which can make it difficult to move around in the stroller.
