Applied art: Painted with thread — watercolor and embroidery on paper

In this workshop, we will combine the delicacy of watercolor with decorative structural embroidery (also called mathematical) on paper and create a unique handmade card.

First, with the help of watercolor paints, we will prepare our own, unique background, choosing colors and creating gentle color transitions. Next, using a needle and colored cordons, we will embroider decorative patterns on paper, learning the basic rules of mathematical embroidery.

This creative combination of painting and embroidery will allow you to create a spectacular work in which a colorful background meets geometric lines and thread texture. Each Participant will have the opportunity to use ready-made designs or create their own.

The result of the classes will be a unique, hand-embroidered card — ideal for giving to someone close to you or keeping (e.g. in a decorative frame) as a small work of art.
