“The Art of Interview” with Jan Peszek again in Auli Artis. A year ago we hosted Teatr Polonia with this performance. After a very warm reception by the Poznań audience, we invite them again.

Jan Peszek, Maria Seweryn and Małgorzata Zzajczkowska will return to the stage of Auli Artis on 19 January in a performance by Teatr Polonia directed by Błażej Peszek.

The great actor agrees to the “last interview”. The journalist asks questions. The actor responds. However, with each passing minute it is less and less about the interview itself.

What is left of the artist when the applause is silent? What happens when there is a fear of transitioning, burnout, and ending? And is it possible to escape from it at all?

“The Art of Interview” turns a conversation into an intimate encounter with a man who has spent his whole life on stage. It's a story about acting, memory, transience, and the price of living in the spotlight.

In the center of the performance stands Jan Peszek. He is partnered by Maria Seweryn and Małgorzata Zajaczkowska.

The performance intertwines fragments of texts by Thomas Bernhard, Bruno Schulz, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, Bogusław Schaeffer and William Shakespeare. From different voices, roles and literary worlds, a story is created about an artist who, instead of answering only the journalist's questions, confronts himself more and more strongly.
