A quirky and heartwarming performance for the 4-8-year-olds about Torsten, who is trying to find out if there is still a place for him in the heart when the family has a baby.
After a story by Kim Fupz Aakeson.
Torsten's mother is having a baby. Torsten's worst friend, Willy, knows why. That's because Torsten's mom and dad don't think he's cute enough anymore, because they don't love him that much anymore. For a whole long week, Torsten tries to figure out what he can do:
Maybe his mom and dad will love him if he becomes more cuddly?
Or if he cleans up his room?
Or maybe he must simply try to understand how it is related, that thing with love...
“Sunday” is a dramatization of Fupz's ingenious and philosophical everyday story — brought to life for 4-8 year olds with the use of small and large puppets, light projections and narration in a consistent and pictorial idiom.
“'Sunday' is a warm and heartwarming performance that educationally tells the story of the experience that many firstborns experience when they have to move into their new life as a big brother or big sister. With precise narrative technique, concise staging and detailed puppetry, 'Sunday' becomes not only a relevant performance for children in Torsten's situation, but also a touching performance for sensitive adults.” The Theatre Newspaper
