Hungarian Football An existential and lyrical novel about Hungarian Ferenc Puskás, the 50s and 60s answer to Messi, who chose to leave his homeland after the Soviet invasion in 1956 and pursue his talent at the royal Spanish club Real Madrid. Along the way, we also meet the Ronaldo of the time, the elegant, almost lapsed Alfredo di Stefano, who helps Puskás with his pangs of conscience. Did he betray his country? Did he let down the creature of football legend, the beautiful game, when he accepted the offer from Madrid? How do you reconcile yourself to the big choices in life?
It is also a celebration and celebration of Sunday opening with service at Valby Library - so there is coffee and something more!
