Tabloid packs Big VEGA into sexy fusion jazz
The concert with Tabloid on May 22 has been moved to February 18, 2027. Already purchased tickets are still valid. All ticket buyers receive more information from the ticket provider.
By 2025, Tabloid has been here, there and everywhere. And with impressive success as a result.
Their energetic live performances have been hailed by reviewers. Politiken has called them “one of the country's most interesting and well-playing young bands”. And so GAFFA have given their latest album release Hot Gossip five stars and described the release as “a mood cavalcade like no other.”
Tabloid is a jazz band unafraid to appeal widely with effective compositions and catchy, singable and danceable melodies. The music exudes excess and smartness, and, according to the band itself, is driven by “developing nuances and surprising contexts”.
Their sound is distinctive and upbeat, a kind of musical ping-pong going on between the multifaceted musicians in the band.
The five friends who have formed Tabloid together are a handful of Denmark's most accomplished musicians. The quintet consists of Jonathan Bremer of Bremer/McCoy, Jada's musical right-hand man, Malthe Rostrup on keys, the most renowned saxophonist of the new jazz generation, Oilly Wallace, drummer Felix Ewert, and guitarist, composer and promoter Johannes Wamberg.
Together, the five members have released three albums under the name Tabloid. All inspired by 1980s funk and fusion jazz with elements from everything from country to J-pop.
In 2026, the band will go on a tour of Denmark, where they will finish the whole cavalcade with an evening at Store VEGA. On February 18, they will seduce the audience with their mix of subtle coolness and sexy fusion tones.
