The Mystery of Beethoven

During this meeting we will go on a musical journey back in time to Bonn, where Ludwig van Beethoven was born. We will be accompanied by the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, which will perform works by this artist as well as works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. We will start our trip near the Rhine River, where you can enjoy wonderful views. Then we will walk through the cobbled market until we reach the house where a boy remembered by history as one of the greatest musical geniuses came into the world.

In 2027, the whole world will honor the great composer on the bicentennial anniversary of his death. And we, during the educational concert, would like to bring this outstanding figure closer to the children. How is it possible that Beethoven, known for his seriousness, was once a mischievous boy? Allegedly, one day he sneaked into the chicken coop and took several eggs from there. The good lady Fischer caught him in this and called him a fox. Little Ludwig said, “I'd rather be a fox who steals notes than a fox who steals eggs.”

Who did he stay, what did he learn to play, did he go to school, how did his career develop, why did he stand in front of the harpsichord and cry, what secret did he hide from the world? These and many other questions will be answered during this event. The story of Ludwig van Beethoven, set in the realities of the times in which he lived, will show children not only the biography of the famous artist, but also make it possible to understand what challenges accompany the fulfillment of dreams.
