Secrets of chamber music: brass quintet

Meetings with Music at the National Philharmonic 2026/2027 — preschool groups (children from 5 years old) and grades I—III of primary school

Ancient megaphones, or wind instruments whose construction and sound were perfected over the centuries, eventually found a place on concert stages as a so-called sheet metal. During the concert for small listeners, the golden sounds of trumpet, trombone, horn and tuba will sound. We will consider together what are the similarities and differences between the instruments of this family and how to extract sound from them. The brass quintet is a particularly popular chamber ensemble, with great sound and expressive possibilities. In order to show its qualities, we have included compositions in different styles and with a diverse cast.

Only pre-school groups (from the age of 5) and from primary schools are invited to concerts from the series Meetings with Music at the National Philharmonic.
